‘Code Black’ season 2 video: CBS offers up first look at Rob Lowe

With the second season of “Code Black” coming to CBS a little bit later this fall, the network is taking it upon itself to find some further ways to promote it and its new addition in Rob Lowe.

As a result of that, we’ve got a new preview video for you to check out below! This video first and foremost does a good job of setting up both the show and the meeting of its title. It’s well-aware of the fact that there could be some people out there watching who have never seen the show before, and as a result of that it wants to do whatever it can to appeal to some of them.

In turn, that is where Lowe comes in. He’s coming off of a high-profile Comedy Central Roast, and the hope here appears to be that casting him will offer up a different dimension to the show, and give it a little more star power beyond just Marcia Gay Harden. It was considered a bubble show to many in season 1, but we do like to think that CBS would want to keep it around for longer if the numbers stay consistent.

Aside from Lowe’s arrival, we don’t think that the video really gives too much away when it comes to the overall story, but at the same time we did not really expect for it to, given that there is no real motivation for it start spoiling huge chunks of the plot this far in advance. This is, after all, part of the thrill that comes with watching the actual show play out.
