‘Vice Principals’ episode 8 preview: When will Danny McBride – Walton Goggins series return?
Throughout the majority of “Vice Principals” season 1, we’ve had a chance to see the story become more and more hilarious — and also surprisingly poignant. While there are certainly some moves on the show that we cannot get behind, at the same time we’ve grown to like and appreciate the majority of the characters and some of what they’ve brought to the table.
Unfortunately, we’re now going to have to wait for a little while to see what is coming up next. Specifically, think September 11. Like “Ballers” before it, this show is going to be off the air next week due to Labor Day Weekend. We understand why the network would want to do that, largely because you don’t want to lose viewership. Think of this as a chance to catch up if you’re behind, or to go back and re-watch some of the goodness. This is, after all, how we got to this point in the first place.
In the brief preview that we saw following tonight’s episode, what we mostly saw was Neal Gamby doing everything that he could in order to revive his plan to overtake Belinda Brown. The reality here is that in spite of everything he has learned, it still hasn’t caused him to change his mind on what his ultimate mission is.
There are in total two more episodes left this summer, and then we’ll just have to wait and see when the show is going to return to the air. This series is operating under a different model where all of the episodes are already ordered.
