‘America’s Got Talent’ results preview: Dunkin’ Save possibilities include Linkin’ Bridge, Edgar, Julia Scotti

Tonight, “America’s Got Talent” is giving you the last of its quarterfinal results shows, and with that comes the very last opportunity in which we as voters have a chance to use the Dunkin’ Save … at least until the next round. Over the course of this article, we’re going to do our best to pinpoint why the names mentioned in the title are on the bubble, and why some others are guaranteed safe.

Let’s go ahead and get the favorites out of the way: There’s almost zero chance that Malevo or Grace VanderWaal are in any jeopardy tonight. Both acts received huge ovations, have golden buzzers, and are beloved by the judges and viewers. From there, we’re going to throw in there Blake Vogt, who impressed us after thinking going into the show that he could be in trouble. America has shown as of late that they love magicians.

Now, let’s get the sad news over with: There seems to be very little chance that we see Vello Vaher, Ronee Martin, or Alla & Daniel advance. Two of them were buried at the start of the show, while Alla & Daniel got the rare live-show buzzer from Howie Mandel.

Here’s where things could get interesting: We think that The Passing Zone are aided tremendously by the fact that they performed near the end of the show, and we think the majority of people loved their act enough to overlook that they did more or less the same thing in season 1. (We couldn’t remember in the moment when we wrote our review last night, but we looked it up.) Also, how many casual fans were watching during season 1? For the record, we think that Brian Justin Crum did enough with a pretty-flawless vocal to get in without any help. That brings us to five.

Ultimately, we’re left with four acts to occupy two spots: Linkin’ Bridge, Edgar, Kadan Bart Rockett, and Julia Scotti. This is where things are going to get really tricky. Personally, Linkin’ Bridge and Julia are our personal choices based on quality, even if we did think Kadan was just as good as many adult magicians. Edgar, meanwhile, is interesting on the basis of story plus America’s love for family. This is a tough one to call, but then again maybe we’re wrong with our whole prediction and different acts will be in jeopardy than who we’re calling. Our feeling, at least for now, is that Linkin’ Bridge and Kadan move on and we’re heartbroken over Julia’s exit.
