‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Dunkin’ Save aid Malevo, Linkin’ Bridge, Ronee Martin?

AGT -Tonight, the “America’s Got Talent” results show had a special guest in Michael Phelps, who is clearly on his victory lap following the Olympics / probably also figuring out what his next career could be moving forward. We’re probably not going to focus too much on that, nor are we going to put much of a focus on the performances themselves. We’re talking mostly here about the results, the Dunkin’ Save, and whether or not America made the right choice.

Given that there were a multitude of great acts who performed on Tuesday night, it certainly felt assured going into the show that we were going to see some disappointments in the voting.

Dunkin’ Save – The three acts who are going to be up for it tonight are none other than Malevo, Linkin’ Bridge, and Ronee Martin. We gotta be honest here: These results were SHOCKING. Really, we never thought Malevo would be here.

With that, we feel for Linkin’ Bridge since it feels all but guaranteed that Malevo has this on lock.

Acts Moving On – Kadan Bart Rockett was put through first, and that only surprised us because he went early in the show and we wondered if he and Blake Vogt would cancel each other out. From there, we saw both Grace VanderWaal and Brian Justin Crum advance, which really should not be a shock to anyone. They were both fantastic last night and America (hearts) singers.

Later in the show, we learned that the news was good for Blake Vogt and also Edgar — which may be further proof that America also loves family bands. To be honest, Edgar making it in over Malevo is a major bummer. While we’re on the subject, Ronee being a Dunkin’ Save candidate over Julia Scotti is also enormously depressing.

Dunkin’ Save results – As predicted, Malevo got it, and they really should have never been in this position in the first place.

Judges’ Save – Thankfully, Linkin’ Bridge moves on, and this concludes a stressful night where we personally don’t agree with every choice. Here’s to hoping Julia gets a wild-card spot, since there could be one in the semifinals.
