‘American Crime Story’ season 2: Sarah Paulson will return for ‘Katrina’ series

FX -Even though there may not be too much known as of yet about the second season of “American Crime Story,” you can rest assured that one thing for certain is happening: A return appearance from Sarah Paulson! The actress is an early Emmy favorite for her work as Marcia Clark, and you have to assume that she could become an instant favorite for any other role she takes on, as well.

While at the TCA Summer Press Tour for FX, the actress (who is also appearing on the super-mysterious sixth season of “American Horror Story”) made it clear (per Deadline) that she will be returning once more to this franchise for the Hurricane Katrina-themed second season:

“The Katrina story, to me, is a literal American crime … It says something about a uniquely American attitude, and I find it incredibly potent.”

We anticipate that several of the cast members for the first season about the OJ Simpson trial will be invited back, provided their level of interest. Given his work providing aid to the people of New Orleans back during the aftermath of Katrina, our feeling is that John Travolta will likely have some sort of involvement. Being that this season is not so much about a famous case, our feeling is that it could be a little more based on circumstance, and feature more original characters rather than true-life figures.

There is still plenty of time before the second season of the series airs, so rest assured we will have more on it in due time.
