‘Big Brother 18’ episode 22 review: Executive decisions
In this episode, there were a few big moments, such as Nicole comforting Michelle, James and Michelle squabbling, James getting the care package, and Paul wanting to come after Zakiyah after learning that she wants him out of the house. None of this is particularly revolutionary, but we’ll roll with it for now.
Eventually, we come back to the biggest problem that we have had with almost the entire season to date: There just aren’t very many likable people this season. Paulie’s a complete heel with his treatment of Zakiyah. We recognize that this is a game, but you don’t have to embarrass her and make her feel bad like he’s doing. Meanwhile, we’d have more sympathy for Michelle if she didn’t throw so many pity parties or get angry at little things like James wearing her jacket. Zakiyah, meanwhile, is someone we at least feel a little worse for because some of her intuition is right. She just made some bad decisions when it comes to trust in the early going.
We hate to say it, but if Paul would drop his shtick he may be one of the more worthy people left in the game. He’s playing, and while he is lying and backstabbing, he’s not doing it with the same attitude that Paulie is. But then … we’re stuck with “friendship” all of the time. Thus is the dilemma of a “Big Brother” viewer in the summer of 2016. Grade: C+.
