‘The 100’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mako Mermaids’ star to recur
While we know that the world is hardly in a great position coming into the fourth season of “The 100,” there is really not too much known about the show’s future beyond that. It’s not premiering until the new year, and as a result of that there is time for further details to become clear; we’re just happy for whatever update we can get until then.
With that in mind, we’re pleased to bring to you the following. According to a new report coming in now via Deadline, Chai Romruen of Netflix’s “Mako Mermaids” has been cast in a significant recurring role on the fourth season as Ilan, a Grounder who is dealing with some significant trauma. Specifically, he had a history of terribleness that occurred under the influence of ALIE, and he will be doing what he can to get out from under that. As you would expect, however, this may not be a particularly easy thing to do.
What is to us nice about what we are hearing about season 4 is that the show seems to be bridging some of the past (i.e. everything that we have seen so far) with the present and what is to come. They are moving the story along, but not being forgetful as to what has happened. That’s extremely important to a show like this, where these characters are heavily influenced by some of the trauma and the pain they’ve went through. Just look at the journeys of Octavia and Clakre so far; even in the past season alone, they’ve dealt with more than many of us have over our entire lives.
Rest assured that we will have further news on “The 100” as it breaks; for now, be sure to head over here to check out our article archive.
