‘The Musketeers’ season 3, episode 9 preview: The last before series finale
If you have been watching the past three seasons of “The Musketeers,” now is certainly a difficult time. While the show remains exciting, we are at this point starring at the reality that it will be over within a matter of weeks. We are writing this article before this weekend’s article airs on the BBC, but we are doing it with the knowledge that there are only two more stories to come once this one wraps up.
We imagine a showdown with Grimaud like no other is coming, and this is something potentially hinted at in the synopsis below as intrigue mounts for Treville and things start to become all the more complicated:
“When death strikes the Louvre, Treville takes controversial steps to protect the Dauphin from the unholy alliance of Grimaud, Gaston and the Duke of Lorraine. His secretive tactics isolate the Queen andthreaten to drive even his loyal Musketeers apart. With the disbanded Red Guard at Grimaud’s disposal, Constance and Sylvie must hide the Dauphin in a city crawling with spies, while Treville turns politician to divide the opposition. Will diplomacy work in the battle to save France, or has Treville underestimated his enemies?”
It is hard to completely know for certain what is going to happen on this next episode in advance, but we assume that many lives are in danger as we start to see things put into motion for the series’ final endgame. While we do like to the think that the producers are not out to devastate anyone with the way in which they choose to end the series, such an idea as a character dying should be looked at as a possibility.
