‘Mr. Robot’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Elliot and the potential power of friendship

Elliot Alderson of “Mr. Robot” is a lonely man. When the person you are closest to is a delusion in your head, it becomes pretty apparent that there is a problem. It’s just unfortunate that sometimes, he fails to properly identify or recognize it.

After struggling further with Adderall addiction on Wednesday night’s new episode, we’re hoping that an actual friend could turn things around for him next week. This someone could be Ray (Craig Robinson), who has made some attempts to connect with him to date. The synopsis below indicates that Elliot could perceive him as solace, or a way to help eliminate the demons in his head. However, we imagine that it will be far more difficult than he perceives, given that it often is:
