‘Wayward Pines’ season 2, episode 9 video: Jason gets some unwelcome news

There is a new episode of “Wayward Pines” coming onto Fox Wednesday night, and as a result of that we’re going to see the continuation of the plan set out by Jason, one that could put everyone into a state of stasis once more.

Basically, he wants to ensure the town’s survival in the aftermath of an eruption of conflict with the Abbies. It’s a noble plan in some regards, but the guy is certainly culpable in getting to this point. A little bit more responsibility certainly would be nice, wouldn’t it? Alas, that does not appear to be happening.

In the sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly, you can see Jason doing effectively what is a check-in to ensure that his plan will end up being a success. Unfortunately for him, there is a major snag in it: Not all of the pods are ready. As CJ tells him, only a little over 500 of them are at this point operational, and you run a massive risk of killing many people by putting them into some of the other pods. It’s not entirely clear if there is going to be time in order to change things up at all, so we imagine that this is going to be particularly interesting to watch unfold.

Ultimately, we wonder if this sneak preview leads to a revelation that despite the previous best-laid plans, the residents may eventually determine that it is a little bit of a better move for themselves to just try to find a way to get out of this situation in the present.
