MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2, episode 8 reaction: Was Audrey’s confession too late?
Tonight, “Scream” gave us a carnival and a pretty fantastic celebration of Lakewood … which of course meant that there was almost no celebrating at all. Nothing on this show ever turns out as planned!
There was a lot that went on with tonight’s episode, but clearly, what happened Kieran has to be near the top of the list. Now, before you write him off as a suspect because of this, just remember that crazier things have happened. We do think that Eli is much higher on the list for many, but at the same time isn’t he venturing into “too obvious” territory at this point? We’re starting to think so.
As for other memorable moments, isn’t Brooke’s speech probably the most memorable one in Lakewood history? It’s also more than likely the most depressing, given that it just another arrival of the specter of death looming over the entire town.
By the episode’s end, Zoe decided not to be with Noah at the moment, Audrey made it clear that she was ready to tell Emma everything … only to (ugh) only be a few seconds late. She could have revealed to her that she brought Piper to Lakewood ahead of time otherwise. It was a big confession, and now she’s going to be forced to build trust in some other ways.
Still, the nature of her information is a huge step forward for the show still as we try to establish connections and figure out the past. After all, this is the only way we’re going to be able to move forward and analyze the future … not to mention the Killer’s identity.

Going to say it again, I just do not trust Kiernan! Has he ever been pictured with the killer in either season? Doesn’t take much to put tape on your mouth. He always comes in at the bowling alley or carnival or isn’t around when the killer appears. Still a big clue from last season that Brandon James mother seemed to be talking about Kiernan as her grandson last season. There’s more to this guy than meets the eye.
