‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 5 preview: Lena’s birthday; Connor – Jude drama

On Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters,” we had a big party involving Brandon and Cortney, Callie revisiting some less-than-fortunate parts of her pats, and also some specific pain for Mariana as she realized that she needed to look at her past with Nick in the face.

Next week, we’re going into a new episode in “Forty” that will celebrate a different occasion: Lena’s 40th birthday. Given what we know about this show, though, it shouldn’t be a shock that things go south rather quickly. Meanwhile, Callie is going to continue to do what she could in order to help Kyle following what she learned about him tonight. The synopsis below presents you a wide array of scoop, including the latest when it comes to Jude and Connor (who are still facing a little bit of conflict):

“Lena is excited that her family is coming together to throw her a 70s-themed 40th birthday party. But, when Lena’s mom Dana (guest star Lorraine Toussaint, “Orange Is the New Black”) shares her suspicions about Stewart’s (guest star Bruce Davison, “X-Men”) behavior, it threatens to put a damper on the festivities. Convinced her former foster brother Kyle has been wrongly convicted of murder, Callie and Aaron try to track down a witness in the case. Mariana and her female STEAM club teammates compete for an invite to the Regional Robotics Competition.

“Meanwhile, Jude is hurt to discover that Connor came to town and didn’t tell him, and Brandon considers drastic measures to make extra money.”

Given how devastating this season has been so far, we really have to hope that things will start to get a little better for someone moving forward.
