‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Caterina Scorsone on potential challenge for Amelia

The thirteenth season of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be here in due time, and with that will come the chance to resolve quite a few stories … but then also accelerate others. When it comes to Amelia, for example, it’s possible that there is peace between her and Owen after the wedding. However, at the same time she may have some other issues to tackle courtesy of what is going on with Meredith and Maggie.

For those who want a quick refresher, here’s the breakdown: Meredith and Nathan Riggs are now romantically intertwined, which makes things tricky because Maggie has feelings for Riggs, and Amelia could eventually be in the middle. What complicates that further is that for now, nobody knows about Meredith and Riggs,

In speaking on her character’s position further, and how she could be between Meredith and Maggie in a big way moving forward, Caterina Scorsone had the following message to pass down per Entertainment Weekly:

“Right now, Amelia doesn’t know about either of their situations with Riggs, so that will be something really fun to explore next year – how she’s going to find out about Meredith and how she’s going to find out about Maggie, and how they’re going to deal with it … I don’t know that they’ll necessarily be at odds. Sisters before misters. It’s possible that they’ll both try and accommodate one another. I’m sure Amelia will do whatever she can do to ease anyone’s pain in that family.”

Hopefully, all parties involved will figure out a way to be on the same page quickly, if for no other reason than that the longer they wait, the more painful all of this aftermath could be.
