‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Enter ‘The Recruits’
At the end of “Arrow” season 5, we got the real sense that Team Arrow as we knew it could be in serious danger. After all, Diggle decided to reenlist in the army, Thea needed a break to find herself, and basically Oliver and Felicity were the only two left in Star City. They were not together anymore romantically, so for them the challenge was as simple as finding a way to keep the crime-fighting operation afloat.
Given that Oliver Queen is now Mayor of Star City, one other thing is extremely clear: They are going to need as much help as humanly possible. Based on a new post from executive producer Marc Guggenheim’s Twitter, “The Recruits” is going to be the title for the upcoming second episode of this season. Like with the premiere, this installment will be directed by master stuntman James Bamford, and we certainly hope that it will offer up some great opportunities to see some drama, and some new characters in action.
We know that there are a ton of people out there questioning why in the world we are hearing about new crime-fighters when the characters we truly care about are still floating around in the ether. Specifically, we’re talking her about Diggle and Felicity. The only thing that we can really say in response to that is that there is almost certainly some sort of significant role coming for these characters on the show, and it is being kept under wraps for a reason. Remember, “Arrow” would not be “Arrow” without the original team. We’re sure more will be clear about them in due time.

“Remember, “Arrow” would not be “Arrow” without the original team.” No, actually it would be BETTER.
