‘Big Brother 18’ episode 7 review: Hey, James pranked someone again!
So far, this season of “Big Brother” has been full of a ton of twists, a little strategy, but more often than not predictability. We don’t want to get too much into the feeds here, but we will say that they have been infinitely more crazy than anything on the show in some time.
As a matter of fact, this season has fallen into a formula, and it is not one we find particularly exciting, unfortunately.
1. Watch the newbies be clueless.
2. Watch some of the veterans (namely, Nicole and Da’Vonne) figure out how to manipulate most of the newbies.
3. Watch the editors troll Corey in one way or another.
4. Watch James prank someone, which happens almost every episode. (We’d complain about this, but the reality is that there aren’t a lot of other people doing things that are that fun … but it would be nice to see more of James and Natalie, if we’re going to see anything James-related.)
5. A decision when it comes to nominations / the Veto / the eviction that everyone seems coming.
Tonight’s episode was regrettably dull for the most part, other than Paul reciting some nonsense during the Veto speech that sounded vaguely like “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” before Paulie used the Veto on him. Now, Victor, Tiffany, and Bronte are up on the block. The only other thing that was really that notable tonight was learning that Paulie actually likes spelling (someone has to), and there were no “caltoru” or “technotronics” mistakes during the Veto Competition. Bummer. We don’t know how the editors are going to make things work come Thursday. Grade: C+.
