MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2, episode 6 video: Noah does a very silly thing
If your life starts to resemble in many ways a horror movie, there should be a primer of “things not to do” that becomes required reading. At the top of it in bold letters should be no not go anywhere creepy in the middle of the night to meet someone, especially on your own.
Yet, apparently Noah never read that book on “Scream.” Sure, we know that he is desperate for some further answers, but are you really going to get them at the world’s creepiest funhouse this late? Nothing good ever happens at a funhouse outside of normal operating hours. At first, everything seems at least reasonably normal, but eventually Noah gets spooked, realizes that he’s, to quote the great Gob Bluth, has “made a huge mistake,” and boogies back to his car. From there, he’s got a less-than-welcome surprise waiting for him.
The end of this sneak peek is your cliffhanger to the episode itself, and of course you’re set up to be worried that bad things are going to happy to Noah. With that idea in mind, though, let us defer to another page of the “things not to do” playbook: If a show or movie strongly makes you think that something is going to happen, it probably won’t. We don’t think MTV would be showing us this if Noah was getting killed off in this episode.
Then again, wouldn’t it be hilarious if they were showing us to make us think that they were not killing him, only for him to kill him instead? They’d be playing the long-game and that is definitely worthy of a slow-clap.
