‘Arrow’ season 5: Stephen Amell, David Ramsey on Quentin’s status, Diggle’s new helmet, and more
While there may not be a heck of a lot going on this weekend within the TV universe (this is, after all, a holiday weekend), the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey has at least given us a little bit more information regarding what could be coming up on some of your favorite CW shows.
Let’s focus this article mostly on “Arrow,” given that Stephen Amell and David Ramsey were among the guests at the convention speaking out about various storylines. Here are a few highlights from their panel earlier today. (Thanks to the folks at People’s Choice for the info.)
1. Diggle will get a new helmet – This was planted back in season 4 that Cisco was working on something; here’s to hoping that it is much more well-received than the one from this past season.
2. No reinstatement for Quentin Lance – Amell made it clear that the show was not just going to reverse course with this character not for the sake of getting him back on the force.
3. Amell’s message to fans of Oliver and Felicity – “It’s important to remember that relationships on the show [do not] have to be only romantic.”
4. Flashpoint will play a role – As for what that role will be, that remains to be seen.
While it’s not scoop-related, Colin Donnell had a really funny moment during this event where he proclaimed that Tommy didn’t die; he merely moved to Chicago to become a doctor, a nod to his current job over on “Chicago Med.”
This panel comes one day after Amell announced at the convention that Cody Rhodes a.k.a. the former WWE wrestler Stardust is going to be turning up on at least one upcoming episode.
