The Vampire Lestat premiere video: Meet the band!

Tomorrow night on AMC, the premiere of The Vampire Lestat is poised to arrive after a rather long wait. What more can we say about it now?

Well, first and foremost, let’s begin by just noting that this show is going to contain at least some elements of Interview with the Vampire while at the same time, really working to inject a few and rebellious spirit into the mix. Lestat is someone who still feels burned and hurt by Daniel Molloy’s book and with that, embarks on a new rock-star chapter in an effort to try and control the narrative around himself. Sure, it does remain to be seen just what some of the end results of that are but at the same time, figuring it out are a part of the fun.

If you head over to IGN’s YouTube right now, you can see a new sneak preview for the upcoming premiere that allows you a chance to get a larger sense of what is coming for Lestat — in particular when it comes to his band. Who are they, and what do they all bring to the table? While Sam Reid is obviously going to be the start of the show here, it feels safe to assume that in one form or another, they are all going to be incredibly important to his overall journey.

Of course, we also do think the same is going to be said about a number of familiar faces, including Daniel and of course Louis. Some of these narratives, though, will take a little bit more time in order to play out.
