‘The Last Ship’ season 3 spoilers: A Presidency in trouble and more
When season 3 of “The Last Ship” started, we weren’t entirely sure just how President Michener and his story was going to fit in. He’s not someone directly on board the Nathan James most of the time, and politics was not always a central component of the first two seasons of the show.
Yet, the producers have found some interesting ways to include the role, and we know that as season 3 goes on, he’s going to have to make some incredibly tough choices … and in the process, also try to figure out how to withstand the pressure that is coming from so many questioning this every move. Ultimately, this is precisely what happens when you’re in a position of power in a world where everyone is looking for a hero; if they don’t find it in you, they could move on to the next one.
While Michener’s story in the upcoming July 17 episode entitled “Dog Day” does intrigue us, it’s not the only story in this episode. Just take a look, per SpoilerTV, at the official synopsis:
“Chandler’s mission comes to a head as he prepares the final part of his plan. President Michener ponders the fate of his presidency.”
We certainly anticipate some exciting stuff coming up as we get closer to the end of this season, and in putting the focus on Chandler for a minute, we can only hope that he doesn’t lose anyone else this season. We’re still reeling from the loss of Rachel in the early going.
