‘Nashville’ season 5 reportedly bringing back Connie Britton, others

There’s some more great news for “Nashville” fans as the show starts to get closer and closer to its fifth season on CMT: Many of the cast members are going to be returning for more on the series.

Of course, we have heard already that there are some cast members who will be departing, but according to TVLine, the following folks are all going to be back: Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella and Chris Carmack. That means that at least the majority of the core characters will be coming back.

This is just another step in the evolution to eventually getting the show back. There is no official return date for the show just yet, and there are some reports that there could be some sort of aftershow component. When you consider that CMT is the perfect fit for this show, we have a feeling that they are going to promote the heck out of this show in order to make it as big of a hit for them as possible.

For those of you who are looking to stream “Nashville” rather than watch it live, remember that it will be available very quickly on Hulu not too long after the installments air. That is one of the many different ways that studios Lionsgate and ABC are financing it following its initial cancellation a little bit earlier in the year.
