‘Big Brother 18’ episode 4 review: The Veto competition, dog costumes, and delusions

We’re certainly not going to call this the best first week in “Big Brother” history, mostly because the majority of it has been predictable when it comes to the vote. Jozea is clearly the person going home, and the most delicious part of it is that the guy has no clue that he is leaving the game.

Luckily, the show is at least finding a few other things to also focus on right now, whether it be the continued solidifying of the 8 Pack alliance, Paul continuing to be a bull in a china shop, and also Tiffany telling Paulie the truth about her being Vanessa’s sister. The story for the most part is being presented as a simple one, but we’re fine with that for now since there’s really not all that much that they can tell.

If there is something that does make us uncomfortable, it’s this: Why have everyone awkwardly creep on each other in the Diary Room? Hearing Nicole have to give some forced comment on Corey was in complete mute-button territory.

Still, we can forgive that because of listening to Jozea calling himself the “messiah,” creating President Obama comparisons, and having no regard at all as to what other people think about him. The only person almost as bad as him strategically is Bronte, who openly told everyone in that meeting about Bridgette going upstairs and “spying.” (We feel for Natalie, given that we don’t think she’s necessarily terrible — she’s just surrounded by people who are.)

Anyway, we’re going to REALLY enjoy seeing Jozea leaving tomorrow. Until then, the rest is just gravy. Episode Grade: B-.
