‘Mistresses’ season 4, episode 4 video: Joss’ plan blows up in her face

The fourth season of “Mistresses” has focused a lot on romance so far, so why not change things up for a minute by talking about Joss’ career?

In the sneak peek below from Monday night’s new episode, you can see Joss do her best to try to pitch herself as the perfect PR rep for a big-name Hollywood talent, someone hoping to become a threat in both music and acting. Specifically, she compares her to Selena Gomez, and does her part to try to pitch her.

Unfortunately, the irony here of this statement is that Joss’ statement about Los Angeles being such a “small town” when it comes to the entertainment business comes back to bite her hard. Specifically, it turns out that the starlet’s current publicist is more than familiar with Joss, and also her entire history with Calista Raines, who is gone from the series but very much forgotten. All of a sudden, it looks like her plans to steal a new talent have gone completely up in smoke.

Do we think that this is the end of this story? Probably not, but there’s going to be a lot of work she needs to do in order to figure out what is next … especially when you remember for a minute here that this is clearly someone who is not too easy to approach. Therefore, she’s going to need to keep her wits about her, and find a way to outsmart someone who has already gotten the upper hand on her in a big way.
