‘Quantico’ season 2 spoilers: A different sort of big event
We already know a few things about the way in which “Quantico” likes to frame their seasons around some sort of huge “event.” In the first season, we saw that big event take place mostly through the lens of a bombing that took place. How the show plans on topping that (or coming close to it) remains to be seen, but it definitely looks as though someone is going to at least try!
With that in mind, we bring you below the following quote from executive producer Josh Safran, who had the following message to pass along to Entertainment Weekly:
“The event in season 2 is probably even bigger than season 1 on some level … But while it is bigger, it’s also more contained. It allows us to feel more rooted every time we travel from one timeline to another. Again, if season 1 was sort of The Fugitive, season 2 has another blockbuster in mind.”
How the heck that is going to work remains to be seen, but we’re very intrigued if the show does live up to that hype! The only thing that we can theorize that the show may be doing is presenting something that is thought-provoking or intellectual rather than just physical, violent, and crazy. This is at least what we’re hoping for, since we don’t quite want to see every season begin with some sort of widespread terrorist attack. You have to shake things up, and work to ensure that one season is very different than the one that came before it. This is a chance to do just that!
