Ratings: ‘Bones’ season 11 rises; ‘Big Brother 18,’ ‘BattleBots’ fall
For the most part, we’re not really going to be able to defend, at all, the majority of the ratings for Thursday night’s primetime lineup. How can you when there is very little that improved week to week?
We suppose that it’d be smart to go ahead and get the good news out there first, just before anyone gets too depressed looking at the rest. The numbers are up for “Bones” this week! Granted, we’re celebrating a ratings improvement for a show that has already been renewed for its final season, so there’s actually not all that much to really discuss here other than that we’re happy the show isn’t limping to the end of the season.
Now for all the bad news. While it won the night, “Big Brother” did still post a 1.7 rating in the demo. That’s okay, but it’s not necessarily something we’re going to do any sort of celebratory dance over either since we’ve certainly seen the show fare better over the years. Meanwhile, “Home Free” fell hard to a 0.5, and the premiere of “BattleBots” over on ABC fell even harder to a 0.9. Granted, ABC moved it around to a new night, so there are probably a good many season 1 viewers who ultimately had little to no idea when it was actually coming on the air.
Finally, let’s talk about “Spartan Team Challenge.” Despite having a great start after “American Ninja Warrior,” it lost a whopping half of its audience in the move, posting just a 0.7 rating here.
