‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Air date for ‘Girl Meets Upstate’

The past few weeks have been kind to fans of “Girl Meets World,” given that there has been a new episode to check out virtually every week since the premiere on June 3. Heck, that first weekend we had two new episodes to check out!

So where are we going from here? Well, next week we’re (unfortunately) getting our first real hiatus of the season. There is no new episode on July 1, with the reason for it most likely being preparation for the Fourth of July Weekend. Most of the people out there who study TV metrics at this point more than likely are well aware that there are typically fewer people watching these shows then as opposed to other times of the year. They don’t want to run the risk of losing viewers.

As for what the story of “Girl Meets Upstate” will be when it airs on July 8, at present the Disney Channel has not been so kind as to release many details; yet, we do think that the story here is going to revolve more or less around the much-hyped ski lodge trip that has been discussed among diehard fans for some time. We’re obviously getting away from New York City proper for a little while, so think of this at least somewhat similarly to “Girl Meets Texas,” even if the airing structure of it may be different to go along with the setting. It’s not a place where Lucas is going to know more about the world than either Riley or Maya. (Hopefully, we do find out who he chose soon!)
