‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 5 video: Can two deaths be a coincidence?

The seventh season of “Rizzoli & Isles” has done a great job this season of alternating between interesting, intense cases and ones that really demonstrate humor and a little bit more light-heartedness. It’s a delicate balance that they are cultivating here in the final season, and this is one of the few series out there that knows how to do this just right.

Monday night’s new installment is titled “Shadow of Doubt,” and based on the promo below, there is going to be a lot of craziness that you can expect to see unfold. Specifically, there is one of the trickier cases of the season, as a man’s girlfriend and wife are both found dead, and it certainly seems like this cannot be a coincidence. However, what do you do when this said killer has cultivated things in such a way that it makes it very difficult for him to be caught? Can he really get away with murder? We figure that his work is going to be cut out for him over the course of this episode.

While this promo does not necessarily make it clear, we’d also go ahead and tell you that there is going to be some sort of powerful story coming up, when it comes to the character of Maura Isles as she tries to figure out what she wants to do in regards to a potential surgery. We anticipate this setting the pace for the remainder of the season, so we’ll be very invested in seeing what decision she makes, and if there is a recovery period, what it is like and how she moves forward from there.
