TV Quick Hits: Tara Reid returns to ‘Sharknado,’ Stephen Colbert blasts Senate, Brian Austin Green on ‘Rosewood’
Brian Austin Green snags big “Rosewood” role – Let’s start this edition of Quick Hits with the latest news breaking from the Fox series. The aforementioned “90210” vet has just booked a series-regular role, playing the part of police officer Aaron Slade, a recent addition to this particular part of the force with a little bit of a mysterious past. It’s hard to really see how cop characters are going to fit in without seeing them, but we know Green has the magnetism to pull this off.
“Rosewood” will premiere with season 2 on Fox this fall, in a new timeslot on Thursday nights. As for some other news…
Stephen Colbert rips the Senate – On last night’s edition of “The Late Show,” the host decimated much of the United States Senate for their lack of inaction on gun-control policies, stating that more than 90% of them are for at least some sort of measure to keep people on the terrorism watch list from buying firearms.
Yes, there are some politics in here, but we do think that there is also some humor and it’s worth checking out.
Tara Reid’s “Sharknado” fate – You no longer have to worry about her being absent from the upcoming “The 4th Awakens” (still love the title) after the third movie left her fate in the hands of the public. The latest promo makes it clear that she will survive, which only seems right since we’re not sure how this super-camp feature would work without her. Ultimately, this movie looks like more of the same, but who is going to be upset by that?
“Sharknado: The 4th Awakens” will air on Syfy July 31.
