‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Jenna Coleman sends Pearl Mackie flowers as filming begins
Clearly, there is quite a kinship between companions in the “Doctor Who” universe, even if they don’t actually share any screen time together at all.
In a new post on Twitter, Pearl Mackie made it clear that former companion Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald) had sent her flowers as filming for season 10 started to ramp up. It’s a lovely little gesture from Jenna, who has been rather busy on the new series “Victoria,” and it helps to make the transition all the sunnier.
New episodes of “Doctor Who” will premiere at some point in 2017 in BBC One, and at that time we’ll get a chance to see Mackie in action. For now, not much is known about her part other than that her character’s name is Bill, and she is someone who approaches the world of The Doctor and his time-travel from the perspective of an everyday person. For example, she is going to ask many of the questions that any person would if they were in such an unusual situation. Before this debut, we’ll have one more Christmas Special, which should do an effective job of bridging the gap between the end of one story and the beginning of a new one.
As for whether or not Coleman could return, there have been rumors already. Ultimately, we’re never ruling out a return of any living actor to this show, just because there are always so many different ways in which to bring people back thanks to the construct that exists thanks to the time-travel and the creativity of some of the writers.
