‘The Musketeers’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Will enemies become friends?
Tonight, “The Musketeers” gave us a story about a traitor and political inaction, and with that, there were of course questions about the state of the monarchy. Rest assured that as we move into the next installment of the series on BBC One, we’re going to see the crown play an important role yet again.
Specifically, the synopsis below makes it clear that there could be a tricky, espionage-based story that we see unfold over the course of the coming hour:
“The future of the English monarchy rests on the musketeers’ shoulders after Louis orders them to recover the Queen of England’s missing crown jewels. It’s a daunting mission, made more complicated when they unmask the thief. Fighting every instinct, the Musketeers must place their faith in an old adversary to hunt down the diamonds. The ensuing mayhem tests each of their loyalties to the limit, and a surprise reunion results in heartbreak for Aramis. Meanwhile, Feron seizes an opportunity to avoid personal scandal.”
Ultimately, it does feel like that there is a lot of greatness coming, and one thing that we are in particular excited about is rather simple: We’re moving back to Saturday nights! The schedule for the show has been a mess and then some, with tonight’s episode moved from Saturday due to a football match. There are still a good seven episodes left in the series, so hopefully over the course of these hours, we’ll get a chance to see precisely what the final legacy for this show is.
