‘Orange is the New Black’ season 5: With renewal set in stone, when it’s premiering?

The fourth season of “Orange is the New Black” is going to be premiering on Netflix in less than a day’s time, and we’re sure that there will be some people out there finished with it in the span of just a couple of days! We certainly don’t blame them, since it is a testament to precisely how addictive this particular series on Netflix can be. You watch one episode, and there is an inevitable temptation to just want to keep doing it for as long as you possibly can.

So what we can tell you right now is that, if you did not hear, you have a lot more to look forward to still even if you’re already finished with this season. Netflix not only renewed the Taylor Schilling-led series for a fifth season, but they also picked it up for seasons 6 and 7. It is an extremely bold move for any network to do this, let alone a streaming provider, since you don’t know what the fan reaction is going to be.

As for when the show will return, we have no reason to think that it is going to be any period of time other than next summer, since June has shown itself time and time again to be a really comfortable spot for the show to come on the air. There’s less competition, people have vacations, and the show can get more press this way.
