‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 9 preview: ‘The Battle of Bastards’ puts Kit Harington’s Jon Snow in forefront

LogoFor all fans out there of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” we have a feeling that the next new episode is going to be one for the history books and then some. After all, we are speaking here specifically of “The Battle of the Bastards,” and even the title here alone may be enough to send a chill down your spine.

For some reason, the network chose not to release a synopsis for this hour in advance, but at the same exact time, there probably was not really much of a reason to when you think about what the show is hyping up: You’ve got Winterfell, Jon Snow and his army, and them Ramsay Bolton and his army. What more do you need to know? It certainly would not shock us if almost the entirety of this hour was spent in this one location, similar to what we’ve seen in some other battle episodes over the course of the show’s run.

What’s so significant about this battle obviously expands beyond Winterfell, given that the Boltons hold such important strategic relationships to the Lannisters and so many other families in the realm. If they fall, it makes the battle for the Iron Throne all the more complicated … especially with Dany and her plans to come across the sea and take it.

We will have a promo for this episode below as soon as it is available, but for now, it doesn’t feel like hyperbole at all to suggest that this one will be huge. Update: It’s below! Based on Brienne’s mission tonight, this could be even more interesting.
