‘Code Black’ season 2 spoilers: About a new regular…

Over the course of the past several days, we’ve certainly come to know quite a bit when it comes to the second season of “Code Black.” We’re losing a pair of season 1 regulars, we’re seeing some promotions elsewhere, and we’ve also now learned that there is a new male character coming aboard who will be a co-lead alongside Marcia Gay Harden.

Here’s what we know about the man so far: He is in his thirties / forties, there is no specific race that producers are looking for, and he is (per TVLine) a “says-what-he-thinks veteran who doesn’t suffer fools and puts the patient first over all else, including your precious feelings. Possessed with a roguish charm, gallows humor and willingness to take risks, he’s sexy to women and compelling to men.”

Often, many of these cast breakdowns really don’t give a whole lot away when it comes to a person’s true nature. We have no idea really what to make of this character after seeing this, other than that we really hope that they find an excellent actor for the part. That matters so much more than anything that you can say in a breakdown. They’ll have to further inform a character, and have them stand out in ways that they simply cannot when looking at something like this alone.

The second season of “Code Black” is going to be premiering on CBS at some point this fall; just as you would expect, we’ll have some further news on the subject of the show in the near future.
