‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Did Shannon & Peter, Alex Magala, or Wayne Woodward make the final?
The first night of “Britain’s Got Talent” proved to be rather predictable in terms of results. Everyone other than 100 Voices of Gospel disappointed, and thanks to that it was easy to predict that the voters would just go with their old standby and pick some singers to go far.
Tonight, we’ve got a little more ambiguity. Variety acts like Shannon & Peter, Alex Magala, and Another Kind of Blue were given prime real-estate over singers, but you also had people like Wayne Woodward and the Garnett Family who came out and delivered. Our hope was that we’d see Shannon & Peter coupled with Alex in the final, just on the basis of tonight’s performances alone. Yet, there were easily some scenarios where we could envision neither one of them making it there and some others rising to the occasion.
Without further ado, let’s get to the results. Tonight, the last-place act was Vitaly Voronko, and he was followed by Anne & Ian Marshall, Mythical PSM, the Garnett Family (surprised they were this low), and Another Kind of Blue. The fourth-place finisher was Rachael Wooding, and the winner tonight was … Wayne! This shocked us, given that he performed early in the show and the act that performs last often makes it.
Now, the judges had a terrible decision: Alex versus Shannon & Peter. Both were worthy tonight. We do really feel for the dancers, since they were both sensational; yet, we also admire Simon Cowell for actually making the gutsy choice and putting Alex through rather than letting it go to a public vote. (To be fair, if he had let Britain choose, Shannon & Peter likely would have had it.)
