‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Do Dunking Devils bring something new to familiar act?
We’re not going to pretend that the Dunking Devils are an act that we’ve never seen before. We’ve seen many different trampoline-dunking acts over the course of different TV shows and sporting events. It is quite a skill and it’s always fun to watch, but the question you’re left to wonder is whether or not this is anything more than a halftime act you can see anywhere.
Well, in the preview below for this weekend’s “Britain’s Got Talent” episode, you can see the basketball group do their part to win the judges over. For now, we’ll at least given them credit for trying to bring something different to the show than we’ve seen with other acts. The costumes were creative and funny, and this is what they’re going to have to go with if they want a chance of making it to the final; they can’t just be an act featuring some really cool dunks. Otherwise, there’s really no point in anyone voting for them, since they won’t have too much of a chance.
Ironically, the video tries to make it look like Ant sinking a basket from long-range at the end is almost as impressive as the act itself. While it is rather cool, at the same time the edit didn’t exactly make it clear whether or not this was his first shot at the goal. If it was, then we give the dude all the credit in the world and question whether he should make time in his already-busy schedule for a career in the NBA.
This weekend marks the final audition show, and at the end of it, we’re going to see the judges make their decision on who they want to see take part in the live shows.
