‘Quantico’ finale spoilers: Are there further Liam twists?
At the end of this past episode of “Quantico,” we finally got an answer to something that has been on the tip of our tongues the entire series: We now know for certain that Liam is the terrorist. Speaking to TV Guide in a postmortem, showrunner Josh Safran basically confirmed this news, and then went on to say that there are no more twists at least in terms of him secretly working for someone else, or being controlled in the way that Drew was.
With that being said, there is still a big mystery that is going to be unlocked in the finale, and per Safran, that is understanding more of why Liam decided to do this operation from the inside:
“The ‘how’ and ‘why’ will be next week and that’s very much the entire plot of the entire episode. In fact, the opening five minutes should not be missed.”
Just in case you’re wondering more about the second season, expect the final 30 seconds of the finale to do a good job setting up some of what that story will be. We imagine that there are going to be some surprises that come along with it, and we hope above all else that the show opts to not do another big terrorist story with a bomb about to blow up New York City. It already feels like we’ve gone down that road, and there is only so much more that can be done.
