Ratings: ‘Person of Interest’ has so-so start; ‘Agents of SHIELD,’ ‘The Flash’ down
While in some ways the ratings for “Person of Interest” don’t matter as much this year given that it is the final season, we do still want to see a couple of things take place. For one, we’d like to see the numbers reasonably steady just for the sake of ending on a high note, and we also would love to see if the show could end up procuring some sort of second life elsewhere down the road. Anything is possible.
For now, the premiere number of a 1.2 in the 18-49 demographic is a little bit of a mixed bag. This is down significantly from the season 4 premiere, and also the season 4 average. Yet, it’s a small improvement on the ratings from the season 4 finale, and it also looks okay in comparison to ratings for the final episodes of “Limitless” this season in the same timeslot.
The real test for this series is going to be what happens when it starts to air regular episodes, especially in its odd two-night format on Mondays and Tuesdays. Typically, shows do slide some after their premieres.
As for some other ratings from the day…
The good news – There wasn’t much, but “NCIS: New Orleans” (1.8) almost matched “NCIS” proper (1.9) on the night. Also, “New Girl” improved slightly (1.0) versus its most-recent new episode.
The bad news – Both “The Flash” (1.2) and “Agents of SHIELD” (0.9) experienced some downturn, while “Chicago Med” (1.5) and “Chicago Fire” (1.6) both declined. Even “The Voice” (1.6) isn’t getting a big bump anymore, even with the #VoiceSave twist included.

The zoom saga on flash has become boring and tedious..it has gone on for too long..last nights episode was atrocious
