‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Kit Harington on his secret code-name

Game of thronesWhile there were some members of the paparazzi here and there who managed to catch Kit Harington on the “Game of Thrones” set in Northern Ireland, we happen to think that, by and large, the HBO show did a pretty darn remarkable job of not having it leak precisely what was going to happen to the Jon Snow character. Was it still fairly predictable that he was going to be resurrected? In our mind, sure, but hats off to the network for at least trying to create some sort of air of mystery around the reveal.

As a matter of fact, the producers and the network even doubled down by working to ensure that nobody even mentioned the character’s name during Harington’s time on set. As the actor revealed to Entertainment Weekly, he went instead by the moniker of “LC” or “Lord Commander” in order to keep things at least somewhat veiled:

“No one was allowed to say ‘Jon Snow’ on set, ever, everyone had to refer to me as ‘LC.'”

The irony for the most part here is that when we think of “LC” we think of Lauren Conrad, which probably says more for our TV history than it really should. Anyhow, the other bit of irony here is that this moniker was probably used quite a bit during Harington’s time filming the show, as he has already come out and stated that we are going to be seeing a lot of Jon Snow this season moving forward, maybe more so than any other character in the cast.
