‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 2: Kit Harington apologizes, promises big things

Game of thronesWhat does Kit Harington have to be sorry about following the new episode of “Game of Thrones” on Sunday night? It’s really so simple as being able to keep a heck of a secret.

Sure, most of us figured that the Jon Snow character was going to be resurrected in some way, but there was still a good bit of intrigue in how he was brought back. For Kit himself, we imagine that this ends a lengthy nightmare of him having to avoid the press, paparazzi, and even fans. He also had to lie to the majority of journalists he spoke to leading up to the start of the new season.

Ultimately, there is one word that Harington wants to say in response to many of these people: “Sorry!” The actor passes that message along to Entertainment Weekly in a new cover story all about his resurrection,

“I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”

For those wondering if we’re only getting a tiny bit of Jon this season now, rest assured that we’re getting the opposite. Harington also told the magazine that this is a huge season for his character; as a matter of fact, he may be in more of the remaining episodes than anyone else.
