‘Empire’ season 2 finale spoilers: More details at (attempted) wedding

We have known for some time that there would be some sort of wedding during the upcoming season 2 finale of “Empire.” With that being said, there are still some question marks floating around out there on another subject: Whether or not this said wedding will actually happen. We know that there are many weddings teased for these sort of shows, but in between secrets and possible arrests, it is easy to think of ways in which it could be derailed.

So what we have for you below right now are some of the first details on “Past is Prologue,” the upcoming 18th episode of the Fox series coming your way on Wednesday, May 18. We do think it offers up some great intel as to everything coming up:

“After a life-changing experience, Jamal refuses to make music until his family ends its seemingly endless cycle of violence and fighting. Meanwhile, the Feds are tailing Anika because they want to force her to testify against Lucious. In order to protect her family, Cookie organizes a meeting at Hakeem and Laura’s wedding with various people from her and Lucious’ past.”

The cast of Lucious’ past is at the moment especially interesting, largely because we know that he has been far from reliable when it comes to tales of what happened to him. For one, we know that his mother is actually still alive. Who knows what other sort of secrets he may have been keeping along the way? We’ll find out soon enough…
