‘Ballers’ season 2: HBO releases new teaser to coincide with NFL Draft

The NFL Draft has been taking place over the course of the past several days, and as many sports fans out there know, this is a collision course of many different things. In addition to it marking a chance for many athletes to make their hard-fought dreams come true, it also marks a huge day when it comes to sports business. This is a day when young people can earn millions of dollars more or less based on where they are placed on the board.

If there is a storyline for “Ballers” to cover on its upcoming second season, this is precisely it. We don’t quite know for sure that this is the direction of the second season, but the new promo below was definitely released to appeal to NFL Draft fans. Dwayne Johnson is back once as Spencer Strasmore, a former football star who is ready to pass along his own brand of wisdom through his business.

While the promo below doesn’t give you a full sense necessarily of what the upcoming season is going to be, we anticipate it for the most part having everything that we’ve had a chance to see so far. There’ll probably be some funny moments, a fantastic performance from Johnson, and also a unique depiction on a world very few of us frankly know about. There aren’t many shows out there that brave the business underbelly of professional sports, but this one does boldly go there.
