ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5: Tony Goldwyn, Kerry Washington, more visit White House
The fifth season of “Scandal” has a couple of episodes still to go, and over the course of that run, it is certainly possible that we could learn a thing or two more regarding the status of the Olivia – Fitz relationship. If nothing else, we’re going to get a chance to see the shape of the upcoming Presidential election.
Today, though, many of the show’s cast and crew members are also descending upon Washington DC for something that is very important in its own right: The White House Correspondents Dinner! Attending the show has been an annual tradition for many cast members, and it appears it continued this year with the likes of Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry, and even creator Shonda Rhimes spending some time at the White House! You can see one such photo of the appearance below.
What “Scandal” has done in some ways is create even more interest in politics, not that this is really needed this year. As a matter of fact, this season has taken more inspiration from politics than probably any one that we’ve had a chance to see to date, especially when it comes to Hollis Doyle and his embodiment of Donald Trump and all of that chaos we’ve had a chance to see over time.
