‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 20 preview: Pan, Hades, Rumple, and a standoff

For everyone out there excited to see a big confrontation on “Once Upon a Time” later this season, rest assured that you will not be waiting too long! Sunday night’s installment will feature the battle of the ages between Rumpelstiltskin and Hades, as the two will come face to face over what are really matters of the heart.

For Rumple, his mission is fairly simple: He wants to do what he can to ensure that the contract regarding Belle and their child is ripped up. Hades has been holding onto that for all of the season, or at least ever since he “acquired” it from the person who originally wrote it up. Hades’ one weakness seems to be Zelena, so it does make some sense that Rumple will choose to kidnap her.

The sneak peek below is all about the exchange. It seems as though Hades rips up the contract, and lives up to his end of the bargain. Yet, will Rumple? It’s hard to say, mostly because of A) his history and B) he is working for some reason with Peter Pan, arguably the last person that you ever want involved in any deal. This is the sort of guy who will always look to preserve his own self-interest first and foremost, and who knows what that is going to lead to?

Of course, there is one question related to “Once Upon a Time” right now that is plaguing us almost like no other: What is the proper ‘ship name for these two characters together? Is it “Helena,” “Zades,” or something else? Maybe it doesn’t matter, since we’re still a little bit skeptical as to whether or not Hades is really being as genuine about what he wants as he is letting on.
