‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 21 preview: Peter’s trial; the path to series finale
The seventh season of “The Good Wife,” and really the entire series as a whole, is nearing the end of the road. There are two episodes still to go, and it looks like one of the things that we could be seeing is the show having a full-circle moment for itself. The show began with Peter Florrick facing trouble, and now we’re ending in the same way.
The penultimate episode of the show airing next week is entitled “Verdict,” and based on the official synopsis below, one of the things that we could expect to see Alicia in scramble mode trying to figure out if it is possible for her husband to avoid prison. Of course, that won’t be the only issue that she is facing thanks to everything that is going on in her professional career:
“As Peter’s trial begins, Alicia works desperately to keep her husband from returning to jail. Also, Diane and Lucca move aggressively to expand the law firm, but face serious opposition from David Lee.”
Judging from where we saw the story end on CBS tonight, we have to imagine that there is going to be a whole mixture of emotions that comes from being at this trial for Alicia. For example, one of the larger questions we have at present is whether or not we’re going to see anything come from that moment that she had with Peter at the end of tonight’s episode. Anything is possible with this show, so we’re not writing anything off.
