ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 19 video: Has Rick met a superhero?

While there has certainly been plenty of news regarding “Castle” this week away from the show, we’re getting back to talking about the show itself in the sneak peek below from Monday night’s new episode “Dead Again.”

The story of this episode is fairly simple: Castle and the rest of the precinct work to investigate precisely what happened to Alan (Jonathan Silverman), a safety inspector who seems on the surface to be perfectly normal. However, this is a man who was effectively poisoned, and somehow emerged on the other side of it in one piece. It’s a bizarre phenomenon that the team and Alan have to try to figure out.

Of course, Castle is quick to jump to the most-unrealistic answer possible to the mystery, and this is that Alan must be some sort of superhero. For a minute here, he seems to actually convince the guy of this while Esposito watches on. There are times in which we do wonder if Castle legitimately believes some of this or is simply indulging the imaginative part of his brain by bringing it up, but we suppose that either way, it really doesn’t matter too much since we find it typically engaging.
