‘Silicon Valley’ season 3, episode 1 video: Erlich meets Jack Barker

Excited for the season 3 premiere of “Silicon Valley” on HBO? Trust us when we say that we’re right there with you. It’s been a long time waiting to see what is going to happen next with Pied Piper, and we think that the sneak peek below does a pretty awesome job of giving you that extra slice of insight.

In this particular preview, you can get your first look at the incredible Stephen Tobolowsky as Jack Barker, a man you’re going to be seeing a lot of this season, at least during the early going. He’s an aggressive man with CEO credentials who could be a thorn in the side of Richard and company; what we see here is that he is also extremely manipulative. All he has to do to Erlich is mention the name of a company he previously worked to create and all of a sudden we have a situation where Erlich is eating out of the palm of his hand.

When you consider this, it’s pretty easy to envision just what it is going to look like if Barker wants anything serious out of him. He may hand it over on a silver platter!

Above all else, the biggest takeaway from this sneak peek is mostly just how funny it is. It’s another super-nice reminder that this show is not straying too far from its roots in the third season even with some changes at Pied Piper, especially when it comes to being both bizarre and funny at the same time.
