‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 22 preview: When will Michael Weatherly, cast return?
Tonight, “NCIS” aired an episode in “Return to Sender” that brought us closer than ever before to the exit of Michael Weatherly from the show. It’s still an emotional thing to think about, especially when you remember that there are now only three episodes left.
The good news? The final three episodes are airing in succession leading up to the big finale on May 17 entitled “Family First.” The bad news? That means that there is going to be a brief hiatus coming up. There’s no new episode airing on CBS next week, and episode 13×22 entitled “Homefront” will air on Tuesday, May 3. While we do love to share synopses in these preview articles, the unfortunate thing is that the network has not released one yet for this particular story.
So in lieu of having specific scoop for you on this upcoming episode, let’s remind you instead of some things we know for certain are coming up this season:
1. You will be seeing the new characters, played by Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry, before the end of the season. If all goes well, they will be regulars for the upcoming 14th season.
2. Michelle Obama may be making an appearance; if nothing else, we know that there were some scenes filmed in Washington DC.
3. The finale will revolve in part around someone targeting former and current agents in a violent way. Could this be a way to unite “NCIS” present with a little bit of its past, while saying goodbye to Weatherly? It seems possible.
