‘Person of Interest’ season 5 spoilers: First look at premiere episode!

The fifth season of “Person of Interest” is going to be premiering on CBS come Monday, May 3, and we are finally starting to get a little more information regarding what is effectively the beginning of the end for the show. “B.S.O.D.” is the title for this first episode, and the synopsis below makes it clear that the is danger around almost every turn:

“Reese and Finch attempt to rescue the Machine’s source code before it deteriorates beyond repair. Also, Root fights for her life against an onslaught of Samaritan’s agents and Fusco is faced with hard questions following the deaths of Dominic and Elias.”

For those of you out there wondering about the status of Sarah Shahi’s Shaw, she will be a big part of the final season, but will not appear in every episode. With that, we just hope that this episode sets the stage for an entertaining final arc, especially given that CBS is really not doing the show any favors at all when it comes to the schedule. There are new episodes airing on Mondays and Tuesdays following the premiere, so you’re either going to have to set your DVRs accordingly, or just prepare for watching episodes of one of your favorite shows at really odd times.
