‘Blindspot’ spoilers: Jaimie Alexander on what’s next for Jane, Weller

Given the nature of the story of “Blindspot,” secrets are always going to be fairly central to the premise. you’ve got a female lead in Jane Doe who does not know a whole lot about her past, and also tattoos that unlock separate mysteries of their own. Having Oscar enter the fray complicates that further, given that he is someone who knows quite a bit about her past, but has not let on to all of it just yet. Jane is aware that they have a history, and as a result of that there are feelings that are starting to form that complicate her relationship with Weller further.

In setting up this complicated swirl of emotions that could pervade through Monday night’s new episode of the show, Jaimie Alexander presented the following tease in a chat with Entertainment Weekly:

“When anyone falls in love with someone it kind of clouds their judgment … In Jane’s case, it’s very dangerous. She has feelings that are resurfacing for Oscar. Of course, she still has feelings for Weller, though in the present time she’s definitely giving more of her attention to Oscar. There’s that appeal that he knows; he knows who she is. He has so many answers and she wants those answers. She wants relief. She wants somebody that she can go to that is now becoming very familiar, so it’s a lot of stuff like that, that she just can’t seem to have with Weller at the moment.”

There’s also another problem that could surface here with Oscar beyond just his secrets when it comes to Jane; you should also wonder about his motivation. The deeper we get into this season, and the more and more likely it is that things are going to become all the messier.
