‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 21 preview: What’s next for Tom Selleck, cast in ‘The Extra Mile’
This week on “Blue Bloods,” we had the conclusion to what was a heck of an emotional story in the case of Thomas Wilder, and with that it makes sense that the CBS show would want to take a little bit of a break. There is no new episode on the network next week, and it will be April 29 when the show returns with “The Extra Mile.”
The synopsis below offers up a little bit more intel right now as to what you can expect, just in case you just can’t wait to find out what’s coming up:
When a key eyewitness in a murder trial flees out of fear of retaliation, Erin and Anthony spearhead their own two-person manhunt to find him and convince him to testify. Also, Garrett tries to convince Frank to attend the Police Union party, and Danny and Baez take a closer look at a suspicious convenience store robbery.”
Given that the synopsis specifically mentions Danny still out on the job with Baez, that may be a positive sign that he has not been suspended or is facing any further action over the death of Wilder. This is admittedly something we were somewhat unsure about going into this episode, if for no other reason than that it was not clear if he would be allowed out on the street for killing another man, even if this was a man who did terrible things, and you could argue he killed in self-defense after thinking he was about to pull a gun on him.
