‘The Amazing Race 28’ episode 9 preview: Can Sheri & Cole stage a comeback?
Tonight’s new episode of “The Amazing Race” was a fun journey through Dubai, but one that was fairly predictable when it came to results: Sheri & Cole were so far behind that Dana & Matt getting into an extreme argument was not enough for them to catch up … but the good news here is that thanks to a non-elimination leg, they’re going to get another chance to stick around as the Race goes to Indonesia. We’re going from a place that is extremely hot and dry to a place that is very humid. This should be fun.
For Sheri & Cole, they now have to find some unique ways to catch up, so they better hope first and foremost there is someone else to drive! Also, they have to hope they can figure out a way to avoid mistakes where other teams make them. The biggest thing that they have going for them is first and foremost, they don’t fight.
Aside from this, the preview for next week’s episode hinted that Rachel is going to have a ton of trouble with a “grueling roadblock,” which really seems on the surface like the sort of thing that really requires brute strength. These two have been fairly solid on the Race as of late, so maybe they will be able to move on past this and find a way to stick around.
As of right now, though, we do feel with confidence that the favorites are Brodie & Kurt, and it is ultimately not even close. We do think that Burnie & Ashley are darkhorses thanks mostly to their multiple second-place finishes, and we also are not ruling out Tyler & Korey thanks mostly to their dominance earlier this season.
